| COLLINSVILLE BUSINESS NEWS May 26, 2010  CIVIC ACHIEVEMENTTIME Magazine has named the World's Largest Catsup Bottle Festival Birthday Party and Car Show in Collinsville as one of its "Top 10 Quirky Local Festivals." The 12-year-old event ranks with the Coney Island Mermaid Parade, the Roswell New Mexico UFO Festival and the Mike the Headless Chicken Festival in Fruita, Colo. This year's Brooks Catsup Bottle Fest will take place on Sunday, July 11, at American Legion Post 365. The landmark is a 170-foot water tower shaped like a ketchup bottle. It was built in 1949 for the G.S. Suppiger ketchup bottling plant. |
